The EAPCCT looks forward to welcoming you Munich, the capital city of Bavaria in Germany for the first time. The 44^th International Congress of the EAPCCT runs from 28^th- 31^st May 2024 and the meeting will include celebrations for the 60^th birthday of the EAPCCT. As in 2023 the congress will be a physical one, but all platform sessions will be recorded so delegates can attend or view every presentation. All the posters will be available on the virtual congress platform too.

Sitting either side of the River Isar the city of Munich boasts a long, impressive, if occasionally difficult, history. It has wonderful galleries, museums, monuments, palaces, parks, churches, theatres and concert halls in abundance and the city’s famous hospitality is ever present with a huge variety of restaurants and beer-gardens to explore and enjoy. International connections are excellent and there is an efficient and modern integrated public transport system servicing the city. Further afield there are other great Bavarian cities and towns to visit, the castles of King Ludwig II of Bavaria, monasteries, rococo churches, forests, hills and mountains all within easy access. You may not wish to leave! 

The Congress venue is the luxurious Westin Grand Hotel, situated in the northern part of the city, and with excellent access to the centre. It boasts spacious facilities and amenities. Accommodation for those on a budget is readily accessible, though early booking is advised.

For the 60^th birthday various festivities are being planned. It is hoped the final session of the congress will reflect on the association’s history and achievements whilst looking decisively to the future in our complex world. Please keep an eye out for notifications on these as they are finalised and participate as much as you can!
